The apartment is located in the historical center of Kiev, near the Golden Gate.

The owner of the apartment has a gallery and is a collector of contemporary art. The walls of the property are decorated with works by young artists from all over the world.

The height of the ceilings in the apartment is 3.2 m, and almost all rooms have an irregular shape. During the dismantling of the plasterboard structures, stucco was exposed, which could not be restored, so they decided to make an identical copy. In the living room, the size of the ceiling baguette is 900×450 mm. Together with curtains, wooden window portals and large canvases, the designer achieved the goal of maintaining the correct proportions of the room.

Functionally, the apartment is divided into two zones: public — with living room and kitchen, study, guest room and laundry; and private — with a large bedroom, wardrobe and bathroom.

The client is a big connoisseur of vintage furniture. All items were brought from Europe.

Special attention deserves the kitchen, which has become a link between the common and private areas. From the kitchen there is also access to the office through the door, made according to the designer's sketches. The stained glass pattern resembles patterns in the Art Deco style. To do this, we had to change the shape of the arch in the wall.

The bathroom has a large window. To take a shower and be left alone, it is enough to move the mirror from the bathtub to the window.

It is worth noting that the client treated the design with great confidence, and the realized apartment is very difficult to distinguish from the initial visualizations.

The interior combines classic elements, vintage and minimalist modern furniture and lighting — all this has become the basis of the YD studio style.
