In an era where interiors compete with social media for attention, design often becomes scandalous, provocative or extravagant. With this approach, the interior can lose its deeper spirit — and we dared to go the other way.

The entire interior was created around a central display case with croissants. Everything revolves around them, and the croissants themselves rotate on the stands right before our eyes. Here they are seen as works of art or exquisite jewelry, so we have even highlighted them with special lighting designed for jewelry showcases.

We aimed to create a space built on a sophisticated selection of details, materials, and beauty aesthetics without the whimsy. The area of the hall is only 20 square meters, so we have avoided overloading it with unnecessary decor, since the main focus here is on croissants and people.

Wood, metal and clay are all simple and natural materials. At the same time, we added a touch of sophistication to the interior by arranging the veneer on the cabinets in a checkerboard pattern, which gave the space an important feature of its character.

Since this location already had a cafe, we didn't change the layout or flooring — just applied a new wall finish and replaced the lighting with our custom designed fixtures created from original sketches.

The chairs were found at a flea market and restored, which gave them another life. Tables, sofas, racks and display cases were custom made.

The cafe is located next to a small area, and together with the interior it is equally well suited for both a morning visit and an evening meeting.
