An interior that grew at the intersection of history and modernity. The inspiration for the project was the Ukrainian national costume, ancient embroidery, Olga Rapai's collection porcelain and modern author's ceramics, which redefines the traditions of pottery.

Customers are young, creative, in love with Ukrainian art. They sought a space that combines modern functionality, color and national flavor. The task is to integrate old things into a new interior and combine them with the products of modern Ukrainian masters.

The typical layout has undergone changes: instead of an open view of the bathrooms, there is a dressing unit that zones the entrance hall and creates privacy. A second bedroom with two separate dressing rooms has been added — it has a decorative effect and with the door open remains part of the living room.

The main idea of the interior is to show how you can weave artifacts of the past into the present, without turning the space into a museum, but on the contrary — bringing these things to life in a new life along with the works of contemporary Ukrainian masters.

The special pride of the project is the antique beds created by craftswomen from Western Ukraine in the last century. They have been carefully restored, finished with a bright edging and integrated into the space.

The interior is conceived as a living organism: it changes along with the rhythms of life of the inhabitants. The rooms have several design scenarios — thanks to the change of textiles, art objects and ceramics. For example, the master bedroom and the second bedroom are presented in two decorative variants - as an example of the flexibility of the design.

In the bathroom there is an unexpected touch of humor and warmth: porcelain figurines from the rare series “Beach” by Olga Rapai, created in the 1950s-1970s, add a barely perceptible nostalgic mood to the interior.

For the project were specially created - textile panel-diptych based on the Ukrainian costume, ceramic furniture elements, panel “Plates”. Handwork has become an integral part of the concept — as evidence of respect for the process and for every thing that carries a story.
