Every architectural project by Bezmirno is an attempt to create an environment that responds to the needs of both people and nature, while considering their interaction. Here, architecture does not dominate; it continues the horizon line. In this project, we aimed to achieve a balance between human dwelling and the surrounding environment, so that the house becomes not just a part of the landscape, but a natural extension of its rhythm.
Skyline House is architecture that does not seek to attract attention but works quietly on the level of everyday rituals. It is a space that creates conditions for inner peace, balance, and harmony. Architecture that remains in the field of view but does not dominate — like the horizon line, gently merging with the natural surroundings.
Skyline House is a project where architecture organically merges with its environment. Three independent, yet organically connected buildings: the main house, a guest house, and a separate guardhouse. This approach allows for an optimal balance between privacy and space functionality. The use of natural materials, restrained forms, and a well-thought-out landscape design not only preserves the natural rhythm but enhances it. The architecture of each structure has become an integral part of the landscape, maintaining its autonomy, yet embodying a unified concept.
The main house, with an area of 630 m², includes spacious areas for communal living — a living room, kitchen, and dining area, three separate bedrooms, a library, a home theater, a massage room, and utility spaces such as a laundry room, technical kitchen, and storage. To create a unified, warm palette, we used light ceramic granite and natural wood, which emphasizes tactility and tranquility. The house’s facades are finished with wooden slatted panels that change rhythm depending on the viewing angle, adding dynamism to the architecture. Large panoramic windows allow the maximum amount of natural light, blending the interior with the surrounding nature. The leisure area features a pool, barbecue, and sunbeds, which harmoniously blend with the surrounding greenery and decorative stone.
The site was densely planted with trees, and we aimed to preserve the natural landscape without disrupting its rhythm. In such an environment, it is easy to make a mistake: either overloading the architecture or, conversely, losing its strength. Therefore, we chose clear horizontals, restrained proportions, and large glass surfaces that blur the boundary between the interior and the exterior. The house dissolves, blending into its surroundings.
The central element of the interior is the living room with a ceiling height of 5 meters, creating a sense of scale and freedom. Thanks to the high panoramic windows, the space seems endless, dissolving the boundaries between the interior and the outside world. Soft sofas, coffee tables, and a pouf form a cozy corner for communication or relaxation.
The lighting system is multi-scenario, allowing for various atmospheric moods depending on the need. The kitchen island, made of satin stainless steel, combines cool elegance and practicality, emphasizing the minimalism and functionality of the space. The same material is used in the concealed TV zone, keeping the interior clean without unnecessary details.
