Nostos coffee shop is our favorite project in the heart of London, Westminster. Everything here is designed around the idea of barrier-free communication between guests and a team of professional baristas, in a cozy and safe space, where coffee remains the main character.Idea Bright very tall room with a stretch form - this was the original task. Exclusively our idea was to make two bars: one — classic coffee, the other — for experimental cooking methods. Which created a very intuitive movement by the institution. The bars are located parallel to each other, leaving a wide passage between them. In the center of the establishment there is a large communal table and comfortable seating around. DesignAs always, it is extremely important for us to combine architecture and interior. That is, any design must be appropriate in the environment. The institution is located on the ground floor of the newest giant office center just commissioned. We decided not to hide the internal walls of the gas block - on the contrary, we left them open. Likewise with the ceiling - it remained as it was, without any youthaforia. On other walls they used mosaic plaster, which has long gone out of fashion, but here it looks very modern and fresh. Another feature of the interior is the combination of contrasting textures. Textured brutal walls have become a backdrop for stainless or polished brass, vintage chairs alongside a white “marshmallow” table, a chaotic open ceiling accentuates neat fixtures, and century-old wooden beams (on table tops) have delicate metal legs. The bar is decorated with Moroccan tiles of natural form, and it has cool modern coffee equipment.
