Good Bread from Good People is a social initiative that provides jobs for people with mental disabilities, demonstrating their contribution to the development of society. Currently, the bakery is located in an old four-storey building on the DVRZ in Kiev.

Together with the design studio Between the Walls, which is developing the interior concept, we aim to transform the fourth floor of the building into a modern multifunctional space that will include comfortable accommodation for the four bakery workers who are now forced to live in unacceptable conditions; a lecture hall for socialization and development activities people with mental disabilities and other members of the community.

“The fourth floor will be a place where education and support are combined: there will be a lecture hall for training social therapists and a room for supported living of adults with mental disabilities,” says Vladislav Malashchenko, founder of Good Bread from Good People. - “We aim to complete the renovation in a few months, expand our capabilities and provide a level playing field for those who need it most. We are currently looking for building materials and partners ready to join this important cause.”

This project has not only an architectural but also a social mission — to change attitudes towards people with intellectual disabilities, supporting their development and integration into society.

We believe that this project will be a symbol of care and support, an example of how joint efforts can change lives. Together we will create a space where everyone feels dignified, able to live in comfort, develop and find inspiration.
