The architectural studio Between the Walls presents a new interior project DM House 270 m2, where aesthetics, functionality and conceptual solutions strike a perfect balance. Preserving the architectural solutions of the house, the studio used a bold approach to their transformation, maximizing the potential of the space.
The key solution was to integrate part of the terrace into the interior, creating a two-level living room. The upper level has become a lounge for casual relaxation with integrated chairs, while the lower level has a cinema area with a large projector and a deep custom sofa. The main living room is marked by a play of contrasts and textures, where an integrated sculptural fireplace with bas-relief decoration from the invited sculptor became an artistic accent. A minimalist office area has been created nearby with furniture from Hay and light from &Tradition, delicately separated by a glass partition.
The lounge area deserves special attention - a real oasis of hedonism with a vinyl corner and an eclectic animalistic sofa in combination textile upholstery from Casamance. In a smooth transition, the lounge merges with the kitchen area, where bar stools from HAY complement the monochrome island decorated with geometric Zellige tiles. Large windows let in generous natural light, opening up breathtaking panoramic views.
The whole project combines the original idea of a chess shape, which is unobtrusively manifested in each room through various interpretations — from a painting with an accent frame made of geometric tiles to a unique chair by Ukrainian artist Anton Sayenko, created in collaboration with Between the Walls. The attention to detail is evident from the mirrored facades of the hallway to the dramatic guest bathroom in a deep red hue with a combination of microcement and textured wallpaper.
The master block of the sleeping area elegantly combines the dressing room, bedroom and bathroom into a single volume. Warm parquet board lined with a Christmas tree, microcement walls and walnut wood with green marble create an atmosphere of discreet luxury. The children's room in calm pastel colors offers two separate beds with soft textile headboards and a round carpet with a geometric pattern.
The project is based on the use of natural materials and deep tactile textures. The deep color code is built on the dialogue between natural shades of terracotta, green, deep beige and accent black. Thanks to the purity of forms and the use of authentic materials, the interior is not subject to fleeting trends, but instead reveals the depth of conceptual design — a space where aesthetics coexist with comfort.
