MOVA Brewery is the history of the revival of the industrial heritage of Dnipro, where an abandoned Soviet building has been transformed into a modern multifunctional space with a brewery, restaurant, offices and landscaping. The project redefines the post-industrial identity of the city, creating a new magnet for the community and a push for the development of the industrial park.

The architectural concept combines memory and modernity. The original metal frame and prefabricated reinforced concrete structures were preserved, local materials were used — metal, glass, wood. The abandonment of decorative finishes emphasized the brutal aesthetics and functionality. Compact volumes with optimal natural light and mobile sun protection ensure energy efficiency, and the open layout makes it easy to adapt the space to new features.

An important role is played by the landscape, which restores the connection of the territory with the natural environment. The use of native plants, the integration of pedestrian connections and unexpected green accents softened the industrial character and formed a welcoming urban environment. The public spaces around MOVA have become a place of attraction not only for visitors, but also for the wider urban community.

A sustainable approach is the basis of the project. Key technologies include heat pumps, solar power plant, solid fuel steam generator for heating and production processes, heat recovery systems in public spaces and reuse of heated water in breweries. Ventilated facade and additional insulation, exceeding the standards by 30%, reduce energy consumption.

MOVA demonstrates how a combination of industrial heritage, modern technology and environmental responsibility shapes a unique public space. It is not only a brewery, but a cultural and architectural center that embodies the resilience, adaptability and power of transformation in the urban landscape of Ukraine.
