English Lime is a completely remote project. After reaching the world of refugee, you realize that borders no longer exist. The beginning of this story was the work on the living room in a small London house, where a creative and energetic couple live. In harmony and cooperation with such customers, it became possible to realize quite bold ideas. The peculiarity of this house is that it extended upwards by three floors, because it was clamped on all sides by powerful Victorian neighbors. Therefore, a very important area of work on this interior has become a staircase. With a width of only 90 cm, thanks to collages from posters, they turned into an interesting journey: leisure, dreams, family chronicle and so on.
The largest room of this house, the living room, measures as much as 16.75m2! However, it accommodates a seating area overlooking the courtyard, a dining area and a cat's corner with a house for two adorable kitties. By the way, the cat house was designed by Flamand studio, made in Kiev and sent to London.
But the main task was to make this space visually warm, because it all takes place in damp, gloomy England. Having coped with the living room, we together with the customers swung into the courtyard, because the shop windows make it part of the interior. Here the scale generally destroyed any dreams, because the courtyard has a modest 22m2. And I would like to receive guests, and make a barbecue in the summer kitchen, and so that there is a place for trees and greenery. For such English realities, real Ukrainian ingenuity was needed. In addition, the courtyard has a small side “corridor”, where neighboring windows are through on all sides. Then a life-saving white pergola appeared - a sitting hammock was conveniently hung on wooden beams, wisteria lace protects from view from above, and garland lights flickered under it.
The legacy of covid in the yard is a separate building, which in our understanding is the MAF, but here it is an office for remote work. This object also did not go unnoticed. By changing the color of the pavillon to black, we made a spectacular background for flowers and greenery. And in the middle they filled it with everything related to the hobbies and activities of the customer. It is convenient to arrange a video conference or play music, because there is an electronic piano, there is a spacious table for creativity. In addition, there is a projector for watching movies, shelves for your favorite books, and mezzanine shelves - a place for family photos, nice trinkets and a million cats!
Another office is located on the second floor of the house and it belongs to the customer's husband. For fruitful work, he had at his disposal a generous 8 m2 and even a long thin strip of 2m. When there is not enough space below, we climb under the ceiling! Therefore, this cabinet has a lot of shelves at the top. But we went even further — the customer always dreamed of a comfortable place for relaxation and now there is a recliner chair in the office.
So, now the 129m2 London house has received its individual unique features and has been giving comfort to our customers since 2023.
