The series of aerial sculptures “Living Geometry” by Alena Shibunova unfolds at the intersection of Ukrainian ritual traditions, archaic symbolism and author's reinterpretation of sacred geometry. It is based on the ancient Slavic practice of creating “spiders” - light geometric structures made of straw, which served as amulets, harmonized space and embodied the connection between worlds. The artist not only recreates the tradition, but also transfers it to the present. Suspended from the ceiling, as it was a century ago, the sculpture “303” shapes a new aesthetic of space and immerses the viewer in a multidimensional reality where each form “breathes”. Particular attention is paid to the use of sustainable natural materials — straw of rye and wheat, combining tradition with modern ecological practice. These objects do not record the past, but ask questions about the future: “Is it possible, based on the knowledge of ancestors, to create a model of a new world?” Each sculpture is not a static decor, but a living interaction with space and light. Natural vibrations, transparent volume, and symbolic geometry awaken the senses: light becomes matter, shadow becomes language, form a conductor. Living Geometry” is about breathing memory. About beauty rooted in tradition, but aimed at the future.
