This cottage project is designed for a young family with two children who are not only looking for a space for a comfortable daily life, but also have a deep passion for contemporary art. The starting point in the design was the task of forming a space that would act as a “neutral canvas” — an architectural framework for life, emotions and art objects.

The house is a two-story cottage with an area of about 250 m². The main space of the first level is a kitchen-living-dining room, united into a single zone of communication and family leisure. It is here that a functional home studio is provided - a place where the family can spend creative time together. In addition, on the ground floor there is a separate study, guest bathroom, wardrobe, laundry and terrace.

On the second floor, an optimized layout was implemented, which made it possible to place two children's rooms, a children's bathroom, as well as a master bedroom with an individual wardrobe and bathroom. To find a place for an additional children's room, the geometry of the corridor was revised and the staircase was rebuilt — a solution that allowed the space to be freed up without compromising the logic of the movements.

Particular attention deserves natural lighting: the roof round window gives daylight to the center of the house, creates a drama of shadows and colors, and also emphasizes the architectonics of the volumes. This gesture is continued in the design of the bathrooms: the light niches in the ceiling imitate the effect of upper natural light, dissolving the boundary between the interior and the outside world.

The material palette is restrained, but emotional. The basis is neutral warm shades, natural stone, textured plaster and textured surfaces. The project uses exclusive items: in particular, Murano glass lamps, made to order in cooperation with the Italian company Novaresi. Part of the furniture and decorative elements are individually manufactured, created specifically for this space.

The sculptural forms are supported by delicate lighting, which does not compete with art, but rather emphasizes it. The interior does not try to be the main character — it becomes a background that reveals the life of the family, its values, taste and depth of interests.

The project demonstrates how residential architecture can become a system of coexistence of functionality, emotionality and aesthetic depth, in which every detail is part of an integral composition. The space not only reflects the character of the customers, but also sets the tone for the daily experience — calm, focused on the real, and filled with light.
